Physicists vs Religious Leaders

Physicists predict that the solar surface temperature is around 6 thousands degree celsius, and at its core about 15 millions to 25 millions degree celsius. Of course no one certainly would prove it empirically. But people just believe it morbidly and thus no one would argue with scientists about that. Religious leaders predict that God does exist. Again of course no one certainly would prove it empirically. Some people believe it and some others don't believe it morbidly and keep arguing about that forever and ever. A question stays on my head: Why physicists are more trustworthy than religious leaders about something that can never be proven at all empirically?

Nyonya-nyonya Istana

Nyonya-nyonya Istana (Palace's Ladies) is the title of a great theatrical art performance I was watching last saturday afternoon Nov 17th 2012 at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Cikini. It was a performance with a stamboel-humor style combined with comedy fragments, dances, and dangdut-disco music. It was really-really spectacular art performance. It was very funny, very entertaining, and very comforting. I really-really missed such a performance. It has been very long I have no longer seen such a funny and entertaining show since I moved from Yogyakarta (studying city) to Jakarta (working city). To me, it is like a date-back to my study-years when I was studying in Yogyakarta as I saw some similar performances supported by more or less the same actors during my study in Yogyakarta. And of course I had no choice as an officer wa...

Duo Paganini From Ecuador

Duo Paganini, Jorge Saase Scaff, violin, and Julio Almeida, guitar were captivating audiences Last thursday evening, on 8th nov, I was watching a great music performance by two Ecuador musicians, that are also known as Duo Paganini. They are Jorge Scaff, a violinist, and Julio Almeida, a guitarist. The performance was held by Ecuador Embassy at Usmar Ismail Hall, Kuningan, Jakarta. Miss Ecuador also attended the performance It has been for years I have no longer seen such a music performance. When I had been studying in Yogyakarta, I had been used to getting invitations for  such a music performance from Dutch Embassy / Consulates in Yogyakarta once in a month or in two months. Frankly speaking, I missed watching such a performance and thus that is why I didn't pass the Ecuadorian musicians to perform at Usmar Ismail Hall. And another reason is that it was free...! What you need to do is just register to book the seats! ;)
